Former Crystal Palace striker joining Kotoko



Kotoko are reportedly linked with a shocking move for Ghana International Kwesi Appiah.

A report by Kumasi-based Light FM claims the Porcupine Warriors have opened talks with the striker to join the Club.

Appiah, born in the UK to Ghanaian parents have spent all his live in his country of birth playing for the likes of Crystal Palace, Aldershot Town, Yeovil Town, Cambridge United, Reading and most recently AFC Wimbledon.

The 30-year-old is currently clubless after his recent departure from AFC Wimbledon hence in search of a new Club and Kotoko looks to be his next destination.

Joining the Reds will see him play in a totally new environment having lived all his life outside Ghana.

He represented Ghana at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon where he scored one goal in the tournament.

 

Former Ghana Coach Kwesi Appiah also named the attacker in his provisional squad prior to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt but could not make the final cut for the tournament.
